Case Study

The work illustrated is for Aotearoa Clinical Trials. The brief was to rebrand and reposition an existing organisation and to create a new identity that was both fresh, powerful and also represented NZ in offshore markets. Aotearoa Clinical Trials had a clear vision for its future: to be a globally regarded clinical trial partner transforming health outcomes for all New Zealanders. This work was a successful collaboration with Jill Brinsdon from 'This is Tricky' who worked with the client on the Business and Brand Strategy side.

The final solution - described as a "A world of Opportunity,"  utilised a global circular device that has a distinctive 3D appearance. The outer shapes then position the NZ Koru as the central element in a larger global theatre. The colours and lines interact with the Koru indicating:  • Momentum  • Inclusion  • Connectivity

The device is designed to allow for regional names to be added much like a regional franchise so local entities such as Middlemore, Whangarei, Waikato etc can be added as required or as the organisation grows. It is a brand that provides immediate impact now, but it is also ready for growth in the future as a network of organisations link together.
